Manresa’s Gedi cooperative has set up a new social radio in Manresa led by teenagers who show absenteeism and risk of school dropout. Under the name of Social Radio La Clau, the communication channel seeks to help them develop such skills as “reading, writing or expressing themselves”. Four times a week, young people emit content via the Internet, made by themselves.
The broadcasts have begun this 2018 and there are, among others, news, radio-formula and talks. The ‘apprentices’ to journalists are about thirty adolescents of the county of Bages. Every day, they generate new content. The involvement of the young participants has been key.
